Bridal Shower planning

Hii Friends! Eve here!! Elisa is obviously the better cook and better blogger, but I’m back on the blog with some bridal shower ideas & DIY projects!

I threw my first Bridal Shower at the end of July for my bestie! It was super stressful leading up to it since it was my first time planning a bridal shower, but in the end it was a success! 🙂 Thankful to have these lovely fellow bridesmaids to help me throw a successful Bridal Shower!

The Bridal Party

I booked the venue around mid-June at Caffe Concerto at the Arcadia location. My bestie said she liked white and simple venues and she LOVES pizza and pasta so Caffe Concerto Arcadia was the perfect spot! ✨ It’s located at Westfield Santa Anita mall so there were a ton of parking spaces for our guests.

Here is  my TO DO LIST to prepare for the big day!

#1: Bridal Shower favors: I bought these Digital Download- Kiss the Miss Goodbye Tags for EOS Lip Balm Bridal Shower Party Favors from Etsy. And I bought the EOS Lip Balm from Costco! It was super easy to put together and you can customize the tags! 🙂

#2: I got these bridal shower game instant download printables from Etsy as well.

Game 1: How old was the Bride to Be?
Game 2: Guess how many kissses are in the jar?
Game 3: He said she said!
Game 4: Why do we do that?

#3: I bought the mason jars and the kisses jar from Michael’s. I DIY’d The Date Night Jar and Advice for the Bride Jar the same way I made my glittery cups for the bachelorette. I got the instructions here.

#4: I got the smaller picture frames from HomeGoods. And the Welcome sign is made by one of the super talented bridesmaids, Cynthia. Her calligraphy and water color paintings are amazing!! You can follow her on her Instagram: @toliveandwriteinla and she also has a shop on Etsy: toliveandwriteinLA! She can customize your orders so be sure to check it out for your next event!

#5: You can find photobooth free printables on Pinterest and all you need to do is to PRINT and then CUT it out, then glue it on a stick! 🙂 The L-O-V-E balloons can be purchased from here. You can inflate these balloons simply by blowing air into it, so we used these for the wedding as photobooth props as well! Definitely re-usable and it’s super cute and fun!

#7: “Guess the Bride’s age” poster: I asked the Bride for her baby pictures and then did some stalking on her facebook to find her pictures from the different stages of her life! 🙂

#8: DIY “Bride to be” sign: I used Word Document to create text boxes and then added each letter to each box, then printed them out on thick white paper. Then I cut out bigger squares on glittery gold papers to stick the white squares on. Lastly, I strung the letters together with twine and it’s done! 🙂

#9: Baby’s Breath Flower Crown: I got this custom made from MD’s Florist  in Arcadia. I brought in a picture of a flower crown and they did an amazing job replicating it!

#10: DIY Photo backdrop: this was made by the talented bridesmaid, Christina. She found this tutorial from downhomeinspiration and she went to home depot and cut and made everything herself!! #GIRLBOSS So thankful to have her help out with this!! It turned out amazing!

#11: DIY Eucalyptus Garland: This was probably the most challenging DIY project for me. It was my first time making this and I wanted the flowers to be fresh so I made this the morning of. The bridal shower was at 11am, so I woke up at 6am to go shop for the eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and peach colored roses. I followed the instructions by weddingbells: Learn How to Create Your Own Gorgeous Floral Garlands. I got home around 7am and finished right when I was supposed to leave at 10:30! It was super hectic trying to do this the day of. Elisa went hiking that morning to the Hollywood Sign and got lost so she didn’t make it back on time to help, but thank goodness my little brother was home and he was there to help me with this! When we finished the garland, we held it up and it broke in different pieces in the middle because it was too heavy!  So we frantically tried to reattach all the pieces together with the wires. When I got to the venue and took the garland out, it broke into separate pieces again, but we used the broken pieces and decided to hang them vertically as shorter garlands. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but it turned out looking alright! 🙂
