Zen Project 8

We haven’t posted on our blog in a while because we’ve been eating pretty unhealthily after Coachella, eeek! That’s why we decided to jump back on Jeunesse’s  Zen Project 8 program starting with the Detox Phase to get back on the healthy eating grind!

We’ve been taking the protein shakes from Jeunesse’s Zen Bodi as our post work out shakes. They announced their Zen Project 8 program in the beginning of this year (in January we were a part of the beta and it just officially launched in March)! ✨ We usually find it difficult to measure how much we need to eat and what to eat so we really like how Mark MacDonald (creator of the program/ American diet, nutrition, fitness & health expert) made it super easy with this program. He has a workout calendar guide too but we’ve been doing Kayla Itsines‘ BBG (Bikini Body Guide)!  We love eating PFCs (Protein, Fat, and Carbs) every 3 hours because it controls how much we eat each meal since we’re eating 5 meals a day! For the mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, Mark suggest to drink the Zen Fuze shakes. If you’re not interested in trying the Zen products, you can definitely just sub it for a PFC balanced snack! These are all developed by French Dr. William Amzallag and we have them all because they’re so amazing and delicious!  

ZP8 also provides easy recipes and we have an amazing support system on Facebook where we share our recipes and progress with the ZP8 community! Here’s an example of a Detox week approved meal! We decided to make our very own Ground Turkey Lettuce Wrap for dinner tonight and it was DEEEEELICIOUSSSSS! Oh so very cleansing. We stirred/cooked ground turkey, red bell pepper, and mushrooms together with olive oil. Then chopped up tomatoes, avocado, parsley and cucumbers to add as toppings. Lastly, we squeezed lime & sprinkled pepper to add flavor to our wrap!

We tried to follow the 8 week program as much as we can, but hey! LIFE happens sometimes- birthdays, celebrations, cravings… the list can go on and on! We have cheat meals here and there, but life is all about BALANCE! Just try to eat as healthy as you can most of the time, and you go and enjoy that cheat meal! I am such a big foodie and food makes me VERY VERY happy so I eat clean to enjoy those cheat meals with no regrets!
